Reuters offers free political reporting course

Journalists from Albania, Bulgaria, Bosnia-Herzegovina, Croatia, Kosovo, Macedonia, Montenegro, Romania, Serbia, or Slovenia can apply for a training program. Deadline: March 4.

Reuters will select 16 journalists to attend a two 10-day training programs in London and Berlin. Participants will also travel to Brussels and Frankfurt to meet policy-makers and journalists covering European financial and political affairs.

The course will cover writing about emerging market economies, markets reporting and covering companies and practical exercises based on current European themes.

Applicants must be full-time professional journalists fluent in English with at least two years experience at a recognized publication, website, radio or television station.

Submit a short bio, a letter of interest, two work samples and a story explaining the state of your nation's economy by March 4.
